Maddies AKC Weekend

Went to the AKC Agility trial this weekend in Scottsdale, AZ. This was a huge dog show. There was Conformation, obedience and agility all going on at the same venue! Lots and lots of dogs and people. The first day the weather was beautiful. It quickly deteriorated. I slipped and fell once and Maddie began to slide around a little so, I pulled her from a run. The last day was cancelled due to rain. The agility field looked more like a dock diving venue! We got what we came for...our final excellent jumpers Q and her title. Panda stayed at home. She was not happy about it. I just could not subject her to all of the stress and strain that this venue has. She is still too green.

Fred She Said Tulips Image

Operation Write Home is a network of cardmakers who create blank handmade greeting cards in support of our nation's heroes for them to write home on. Operation Write Home recently started a new blog, Stars and Stamps, to inspire the many cardmakers. The Stars and Stamps blog features inspiration, challenge, tutorials, creativity and more! Operation Write Home is currently hosting a Half and Half challenge to inspire us cardmakers to create Mother's and Father's Day cards. Fred She Said Designs is offering a free Tulips digital stamp for Mother's Day and FSS DT Darsie Bruno has a wonderful tutorial planned using this freebie Tuesday March 9th on the Stars and Stamps Blog, Please check it out and, also, the latest Half & Half Operation Write Home Campaign :)

I could not resist making my card with the beautiful Fred, She Said tulip image. I colored them, using the feather stroke technique, using Copic Markers. Accents were added using an opague pen and lots of machine stitching. I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for inspiration and the Digital Tuesday Challenge of adding paper piercing. DP is from Cosmo Cricket and CS is from PTI.
