My New Photo Tent

When I first started my blog I took all my photos in my laundry room on the backdrop of various towels and sheets. After getting more serious about blogging I realized that my photos of my creations were being detracted from by the various towels and sheets. After figuring out that I needed to do something different, I had to find out what to do. A photo tent seemed the answer. Just in time for my birthday, my parents gave me an Amazon.com gift card and a week later a new photo tent was in my hot little hands. I am getting the hang of it and I think my pictures are much cleaner looking.

On a side note. One of our air conditioners broke. The one that controls the master bedroom. My Dad is is going to come over tomorrow and help us figure it out. Thank heavens. For now I am in my craft room, which thank goodness has air. I will be sleeping on the couch tonight-my hubby gets the loveseat.

Mojo Monday Anniversary Sketch Challenge

I found this challenge...well, a challenge. It was difficult to get all the layers on the card without all the bulk. I had to take this one apart a couple of times which is a true challenge of another kind. ATG tape is very unforgiving. The chair and dog image is from Flourishes. It is colored with copics to accentuate the K&Co. paper. Cardstock and ribbon are from PTI.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge and Mojo Monday Anniversary Challenge

I love the new gerbera daisy stamp from Flourishes. Daisies are one of my very favorite flowers. The challenge was to use red, olive green, and black with another color. The Mojo Monday anniversary challenge was a sketch, that I used for this card. I used a more vibrant red and used five shades of copics to create the highly varigated look of the daisies. The paper is from the American Craft Co. The cardstock is from PTI.

Mojo Monday Anniversary Challenge

I know, I am obsessed with my new Whiff of Joy stamps. I love this one of the girl holding the turkey. I tried a new copic marker technique and the hair and jeans turned out well for me. The paper is from the Basic Grey June Bug collection. It is very country and is perfect for this image. Cardstock and ribbon is from PTI.

Shirley's 2 Girls Challenge

I love Shirley's 2 Girls stamps. I have attempted to order them on numerous occasions with each time leaving me disappointed. Not in stock. I will not give up. I love their dog images. Look at my blog, I love dogs. The stamp on this card was a birthday buy from my LSS. It is from Stampworks. Cardstock is from PTI and paper is from the Basic Grey Cupcake collection. The image is colored with copics.

Just Birthdays and Christmas Card Challenge

I never seem to have a birthday card handy. My FIL has a birthday this week and my hubby asked me to create a card. First of all man cards are hard. So, I admit I procrastinated a wee bit. Secondly, my new Whiff of Joy stamps came in and I am obsessed. So this challenge really made me focus and complete my FIL's card. Ok, I never do anything half way. I have discovered Basic Grey paper. The paper on the card is from the Basic Grey Cupcake paper collection. Cardstock is from PTI and the image is from Flourishes.

Sweet Stop Challenge

I chose the Sweet Stop Challenge so I could use my new Thanksgiving images from Cornish Heritage Farms. This challenge really stumped me. I love all the stamps but, sat perplexed on what copic color was "turkey" colored. I am a vegetarian and it has been years since I have eaten turkey. I guarentee you I did not have any problem coloring the pumpkin pie:)

Mojo Monday Challenge

Another beatiful Whiff of Joy Fall collection image. Oh the addiction. I added Basic Grey paper from the Urban Prarie collection and cardstock and ribbon from PTI. The image is colored with copics.

Whiff of Joy Challenge

I just received my new Whiff of Joy stamps Fall collection. I had never ordered before and frankly did not understand the big deal. Well, I was wrong. That's right...wrong. These stamps are beautiful and fun to color. They are so awesome I am jonesing for the Winter collection to come out already. Used Basic Grey paper from the Sultry collection, buttons, cardstock and ribbon from PTI. The image is colored with copics and cut out with dimentionals added to the back.
